The archaeological site of Kazimierza Wielka 12 is located in the mesoregion 342.23 – Proszowice Plateau,
i.e. in the southern part of the Nida Basin macroregion. In this area, covered mostly with loess and Holocene sediments, only locally preserved fluvioglacial sediments (including gravels). Their examples, related to various glaciations, can be found approximately 5–15 km from the site. The objects examined are a small sample that turned out to represent a set of rock raw materials quite typical for Małopolska sites. They are usually associated with fluvioglacial sediments (quartzites, gneisses) and possibly Carpathian sediments (sandstones). Both of these sources were local for humans at the site.
