Temat artykułu podejmuje próbę rozpoznania reliktów murów wieży rycerskiej w Lubrzy (pow. świebodziński). Najstarsza informacja o wsi pochodzi z 1246 r., natomiast zamek pojawia się kilku dokumentach zredagowanych między 1304 a 1330 r. Skromne zapisy źródłowe oraz szczątkowo zachowane mury obwodowe znacząco ograniczają podstawy do datowania obiektu. W tym celu, bazując na analizie szerokiego tła architektonicznego w kontekście Śląska, zdefiniowano główne formy oraz nurty stylistyczne kształtujące średniowieczne wieże obronne. Ten materiał porównawczy dał możliwość bardzo ogólnego osadzenia budowy wieży w Lubrzy w 1. połowie XIV w.
The subject of this article is an attempt to document the relics of the walls of the knight’s motte-and-bailey castle in Lubrza (Świebodzin District). The oldest information about the village comes from 1246, while the castle appears in several documents drafted between 1304 and 1330. Modest source records and vestigially preserved perimeter walls greatly limit the possibility of proper dating of the building. Based on the analysis of the broad architectural background of Silesia, the main formal and stylistic traits typical of a medieval motte-and-bailey castle were identified at Lubrza. This comparative material allowed for a very general setting of the tower construction in Lubrza in the first half of the 14th century.
